Badshahi Masjid / Imperial Mosque is a Mughal era Masjid located on the west to Lahore Fort adjacent to the walled city of Lahore.The construction of the masjid was started in 1671 under the patronage of the sixth Mughal Emperor, Aurangzeb Alamgir. The masjid was constructed in two years and opened in 1673. It can accommodate around 70,000 worshipers at a time.
